Lives and works between Dublin, IE and London, UK

Killian Butler is a Dublin-born artist working between Dublin and London. Their interdisciplinary practice explores contemporary visual culture, identity, consumerism, and the shifting relationship between the individual and the images that surround them. Working across painting, installation, and collaborative projects, Butler draws on popular and digital imagery to examine how identity is constructed, performed, and consumed. Butler studied History of Art and Architecture at University College Dublin before completing a BFA at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam.

Their work has been exhibited internationally, including at the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam, and they were a resident at the Florence Trust in London in 2025–26.
